The Kosrae Department of Education is responsible for the central administration of all aspects of education and related services in the state of Kosrae, Micronesia.
The Kosrae Department of Education operates six public elementary schools (Tafunsak Elementary School, Malem Elementary School, Utwe Elementary School, Lelu Elementary School, Sansrik Elementary School, Walung Elementary School) and one high school (Kosrae High School).
The Department’s main areas of responsibility are in primary, post-primary and special education; the youth service; the promotion of community relations within and between schools; and teacher education and salaries. Its primary duty is to promote the education of the people in the state of Kosrae and to ensure the effective implementation of education policy. Its key functions include:
- Advising the public and the government on the determination of education policy
- Framing legislation
- Accounting for the effectiveness of the education system
- Allocating, monitoring and accounting for resources
- Evaluating and reporting on the quality of teaching and learning and teacher education
The Department also aims to ensure that children, through participation at schools, reach the highest possible standards of educational achievement. In pre-school settings and schools the Department also promotes personal well-being and social development, so that children gain the knowledge, skills and experience to reach their full potential as valued individuals.

The medical field is one area which is not immune to human error. Doctor errors in prescriptions and surgical operations can also prove to be fatal and accounting for these malpractices is important to state law. To help regulate the prescription errors, a system called the Computerized Physician Order Entry or CPOE is used. It basically involves a typical check of the patient’s ailments and correlates these with the prescriptions to be administered. Once the doctor enters this information into the patient’s file the system can check for errors in the administration of the drug. These errors could be incoherent diagnosis/drug pairing or a simple possibility of overdose or a possible bad reaction based on the patient’s allergies.
The system at Work
The system is successful in several hospitals and medical practices and the instances of mis-diagnosis and bad drug reactions have decreased since its implementation. The key to getting the system to work properly is for the MD to carefully verify the patient’s illness with the correct description and remedy. For instance, a cancer patient’s file should contain some form of medicines which are non-carcinogenic and a few anti-bacterial medications to stem the scourge of the spreading of the disease. Once these are correctly implemented, the system does an organized log after the doctor affixes a digital signature. It tries to ensure that all errors in drug administration which exceed the recommended dosages by the doctor, or which can enhance the growth of microbes are flagged as an error.
Development of Filing Accuracy
The Computerized Physician Order Entry is effective because it will contain a wide listing of drugs and their indications. This will in turn provide additional information to the physicians and prevents confusion of drugs with similar names. Due to the fact that the CPOE is used for the ordering of drugs it is sometimes referred to as Computerized Prescriber Order Entry or Computerized Pharmacist Order Entry.

I have a question – by show of hands, how often in any given day to you think about your boiler? I know that sounds completely ridiculous but seriously; does your heating system ever really cross your mind? What if the weather turned very suddenly, you hit the heat switch, fiddled with your thermostat and… nothing happened?
Most of us take our vehicles in for maintenance at regular intervals. We know that the oil must be changed and the belts checked and spark plugs replaced. We do these things on a “preventative” basis (if we’re smart) so we don’t end up stranded in the break-down lane in rush hour traffic. When is the last time you gave your system a check-up or performed any sort of preventative maintenance?
Here are just a few things that you can do to help that heater stay healthy:
1. Inspect vent pipes. Check for obstructions and make sure Tweety Bird hasn’t set up house in there. Verify that the joints are tight (no separations) and be on the look out for rust on those metal pipes.
2. Clean house. Open the unit up and if there’s an excess of dirt, dust and/or rust, fetch the ShopVac and clean it up.
3. Oil your pump. If you have a newer model circulating pump it may not require lubrication, however, older pumps will have a few small ports; using standard machine oil insert just a drop or two into each hole.
4. Inspect thermostat. If you have mechanical thermostats ensure that they are level and free of dirt, dust and debris. Consider upgrading – digital models are reasonably priced and will pay for themselves in short order.
5. Check radiator vents. Fire up that boiler and visit all radiator vents – are they clean and unobstructed? If you have manual vents you will need to bleed the air from them.
With just an hour or two of your time, you can help keep your hydronic heating system as healthy as possible and hopefully avoid expensive and untimely malfunctions.

I really had to find the ideal company that would not have any problems at all delivering every single shipment that needs to be delivered. Well, I thought it would be nearly impossible for me to find the distribution company that would be able to step up to the plate and hit a homerun. Well, I am more than happy to have been wrong about that thought, because I was able to find a very nice company to take care of the distribution of my accessory items. I think it is great that I was able to find out that this company has an order fulfillment warehouse. This is the kind of thing that I was looking for in a distribution company. I did not want to hire a company that would be as organized as I needed it to be.
I know for an absolute fact that this nice distribution company is the newest asset to my business. With this company taking care of the delivery of my shipments, I do not have to worry about stores and such complaining about the lateness of the deliveries.
